August 1 - 6  2010

 

 

DAY ONE Sunday, June 19th  2011
This will be a travel day where we will enjoy the scenery

 along the way and experience good fellowship as we

anticipate our exciting visit to New York City! Tonight we

will lodge in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, putting us only

a few hours from our destination.
   

 

 
DAY TWO Monday, June 20th  2011

After pressing on to New York, our expert city guide will

accompany us as we experience the “must do and see

sights and sounds of The Big Apple for the next four days. 

This morning finds us at the Lincoln Center and visiting St.

John the Divine Cathedral (the largest Gothic Cathedral 

in the world). We’ll see ColumbiaUniversity on the way to

Harlem where we will lunch at the famous *House of 

Prayer Restaurant. After lunch we’ll stroll the beautiful 

gardens in Central Park, drive the famous Millionaire’s

Mile  and Museum Mile as well as 5th Avenue where Saks

&  Tiffany’s are located. We will check into our hotel,

locate  in the Times Square area, and within walking

distance of  many shops and various venues. You will have

free time  at the “Cross Roads of the World,” Times

Square, where  you can select from a variety of

restaurants for the evening  meal on own as well as

purchase any souvenirs.

 

DAY THREE Tuesday, June 21st   2011
The “Financial District” will start our New York adventures

today. We will visit Ground Zero and then lunch before

visiting ‘Top of the Rock’. Each day during all our venue

visits we will enjoy the knowledgeable narration of our

entertaining New York City guide. We will return to the

hotel and freshen up before departing for our *Spirit of

New YorkHarbor Dinner cruise.
 


DAY FOUR Wednesday, June 22nd  2011

Today we will concentrate on RockefellerPlaza, the

awesome St. Patrick’s Church and touring the famous

RadioCity Hall”. You will have plenty of free time to shop

and look around on your own as well as do lunch before

we head back to the hotel. We’ll dine tonight at the most 

exquisite *Tavern on the Green before seeing a Broadway

show!


NOTE: For those who book your trip by March 1, you will

  have the choice of which Broadway show you prefer;

‘Phantom of the Opera’ or ‘Mary Poppins’. After that we

  must have our tickets purchased and there will be no

choice. What a day!
   

 

DAY FIVE Thursday, June 23rd 2011

New York compels us to ferry to Ellis Island where twelve

million immigrants have crossed into our country and we’ll

also visit “The Lady”. We will grab a quick lunch and then

head out of town and reflect on all the good friends,

fellowship and memories that we will be able to take

home with us.

 



DAY SIX Friday, June 24 th 2011

This will be a travel day. After breakfast, our faithful

driver heads our coach homeward. Appropriate stops to

stretch and satisfy our appetites will be made as we enjoy

the final day of fellowship with friends and new

acquaintances.  Returning to the Midwest, we appreciate

the familiar sights of our “heartland home,” but hold many

pleasant memories of the sights we have seen.
